Often, Emily will incorporate some stretches during the treatment, and she will give you some exercises that you can do at home to both help yourself get better quicker, and to keep yourself feeling good!
In some cases we use dry needling. This can be thought of as the West’s version of acupuncture. Similar to massage, it’s great at relieving pain and loosening tight muscles. Small, sterile needles are inserted into the muscle, sometimes the needles are left to do their work, sometimes they are gently manipulated. It is not a painful treatment, in fact, most people don’t feel the needles!
